Having your dog work through naturally occurring distractions in the environment that you live, work and play is the distinguishing factor between command training and obedience training. Here’s our perspective: If your pooch only follows commands when at home with no distractions, your dog isn’t trained. We want you to be able to take your dog wherever you go, regardless of distractions. The truth of the matter is, dog training is more about training you, the human, than it is about training the dog. The challenge is that humans allow ourselves to get distracted by the dog’s behavior, and in the moment, completely forget about our communication tools.
