Labrador Retriever Dog Training
Labrador Dog Training can be an interesting and rewarding experience. Labrador Retrievers are known for their higher level of intelligence, friendliness and eagerness to please. Here are the techniques we use to train your Labrador retriever, and why our training module is the best.
From Where Does it Begin?
Labrador dog training starts with you as a dog owner. Your training is also crucial, just like the dog’s training. We believe a better owner makes a dog better. Every dog owner must be aware that training is not a miracle that happens overnight; it takes time, and during this specific time, we want you to understand your dog is learning and needs patience — just like parents when raising a child.
What Will Your Dog Learn?
We have a team of trainers who will not only train your dog but also know how to train Labrador Retrievers to work confidently and stylishly. On our ground training, your Labrador will become an excellent bird dog. The dog will work from blinds, boats, and decoys and learn to mark off the gun, chase down injured birds, etc. We also expose them to challenges like cover, water, and variable terrain to make them brave and confident.
Train Your Dog to Hunt
After obedience training, we will prepare your Labrador for hunting training. Your dog needs your command to retrieve, so we use its name or command to signify action. We train them to ensure they can only commence retrieval when you send them a command. Labrador Retrievers are fantastic learners and won’t take a long time with command learning. Use their name and first letter to make them perform your desired action.
Labrador Obedience Training
When it has been four months since your pup has been with you, it is time to initiate your Labrador Retriever’s obedience training. Obedience training requires obedience along with their training. Start Labrador training by teaching your dog not to jump up at humans.
Afterward, Labradors will learn to understand standard cues like come, drop, and fetch. Focus on teaching your pet one cue or behavior at a time and use positive reinforcement. As they are much more intelligent, Labrador Retrievers learn these cues very quickly.
