Jay’s introduction to dog ownership was not unlike that of many first-time dog enthusiasts, marked by the challenges of a mischievous and unmanageable pet. His quest for a viable solution led him on an extensive search, which ultimately led him to discover an effective dog training program. This pivotal moment catalyzed his deep dive into the realms of dog behavior and psychology.
Jay’s dedication to his newfound passion saw him undergo a rigorous apprenticeship under the tutelage of some of the most esteemed veterans in the dog training arena. In 2007, he felt compelled to consolidate the wealth of knowledge he had acquired from various training methodologies. He envisioned a harmonious synthesis of these approaches under a singular training system. At the very core of his philosophy lay an unwavering commitment to the humane treatment of all animals, transcending species boundaries. It was this unwavering principle that became the bedrock of his dog training system, giving birth to AlphA and Omega.

Meet Karlon, our Training Coordinator
Karlon serves as the distinguished Training Coordinator at AlphA and Omega Dog Training. His multifaceted role encompasses not only the training and development of our trainers but also the meticulous review of all training programs, clients, and the integration of each canine companion into our Pack. His profound expertise in understanding the psychological development and behaviors of dogs augments the value we bring to both our clients and our dedicated team.

Meet Tammy Broxson, our Team Trainer
Tammy Broxson is passionate about dogs: all dogs. She firmly believes there are no bad dogs, only those seeking structure and boundaries, and strives to help her clients provide love and training so their dogs can be a stress-free, enjoyable part of their day-to-day lives.
In her experience, being the Alpha means providing a safe and secure environment for her dogs to learn and grow. With training, her two Shih Tzus, Loki and Thor, are able to go with her anywhere that dogs are allowed: work, restaurants, farmer’s markets, breweries, and more.
Prior to working with and becoming a trainer with AlphA and Omega Dog Training, Tammy read multiple training books, tried different training methods, and researched a variety of trainers in her surrounding areas. From the first consultation with Jay Trainer and his team, she saw a marked difference in her dogs and knew this individualized method was a game changer–that ultimately resulted in her joining the team.
When Tammy isn’t running her business, Broxson Real Estate Group, she’s following her passion by training dogs in Gainesville and the surrounding areas, to help them learn to be more independent, trusting, confident, and social with their owners.
