Managed Obedience Training is designed to develop a line of communication and level of respect between you and your companion. As responsible dog owners it is important we maintain control over our dogs at all times and, set the example of what Social Etiquette looks like in action. You will learn how to set rules and boundaries to maintain the health and well being of your dog both inside and outside of the home. Just as humans are unique, no two dogs are exactly alike. We’re working on the development of a living, breathing, thinking being. The goal is to become harmonious with you and coexist in your human world. This training strengthens the bond between human and k-9 and lasts a lifetime. Managed Obedience requires both on and off leash influence.
Obedience Training is designed to establish a line of communication and a level of respect between you and your dog. The focus of this program is to teach the five basic commands (heel, sit, down, stay and come). The focus is on teaching you first. We will want to schedule at least two sessions in the park or other public space to proof the training with natural environmental distractions. Your trainer will introduce your dog to the formal commands and then teach you how to implement the techniques to achieve the same results.
You will learn: proper motivation techniques, verbal and physical cues, proximity movements, close distance commands and the “release ok”. Companion Learns: Stop pulling on leash (automatic), walk in heel position (automatic), sit/sit stay, down/down stay, in/out of doors on command only (kennel, home, vehicle), come command, spot/place., and social etiquette.
Off-Leash training is designed to allow the peace of mind and security of knowing your dog will respond to your commands, even when running free. It is our belief that a dog isn’t fully trained until it is both on and off leash trained. Once the foundation has been laid for the five basic commands on leash, it is then reasonable to expect your dog to advance to the off-leash level of training. Here is where the techniques learned in the on-leash program are of paramount importance. The better you do on leash, the better your companion will do off leash. Proper motivation, precisely timed verbal and physical cues, proximity movements and distance commands are taught in a series of five sessions. Everything Your dog has learned on-leash, we want to be done without the influence of the leash, including distance recall and working through distractions.
If I could give a higher rating I would! The results are truly amazing. Yes, I had to do my homework and put in the work, but each training session I could see real improvement. I was skeptical about the claims of “immediate results”, but sure enough, no more pulling, jumping or nipping.I particularly like that they came to me and individualized my sessions based upon my needs and goals. Jay is very knowledgeable, patient and kind. He truly loves dogs and it shows in his interactions.I would strongly recommend this company to anyone seeking assistance with their dog. They have proven themselves trustworthy, dependable and extremely competent.
